In 1951 Ford Motor Company was awarded the contract to design a 1/4 ton 4_4 truck to replace the M38 and M38A1 model jeeps. This is an extremely rare uncut example that is equipped with full radio gear, shovel, axe, fire extinguisher, soft top, side curtains, insulated waterproof ignition, deep water snorkel and exhaust.
