This stunning 1965 Pontiac GTO is presented in Iris Mist with a Parchment interior. It is a rare 2 door coupe and extremely well optioned with a 389ci V8 that is fed by a trio of Rochester 2 barrel carburetors. Additional equipment includes: 3 speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes Tilt Steering with a wood rimmed steering wheel, Rally Instrument package with Tachometer, Factory Air Conditioning, Bucket Seats, Center Console, Rally One Wheels with new Redline Tires.
The car has just completed a major servicing and sorting to insure a pleasurable driving experience. Operationally, the engine runs strong and sounds great. The A/C has just been serviced, a new blower motor installed and it blows ice cold. The brakes have been flushed and a new master cylinder has been installed. All of the lights work correctly. A new battery has been installed. Engine oil, Transmission fluid and rear end fluid have all been changed. The cooling system has been flushed and fresh antifreeze/coolant has been added. 4 new redline tires were installed and wheels balanced.
This beautiful, well optioned GTO also has a celebrity ownership history. It was previously owned by film star Billy Bob Thornton from 1998 until 2003.
Its cowl tag tells us that it is a genuine GTO and although its original color was Reef Turquoise, it now presents in the stunning color of Iris Mist. The Parchment bucket seats, center console and TriPower carburation were also part of its “day two” upgrades and had elevated its presentation to the next level.
