In the spring of 1961, a new era of sports cars was born, with the unveiling of what Enzo Ferrari dubbed “the most beautiful car in the world”, the Jaguar E-Type. With its sleek and curvaceously sculpted body and race-proven XK engine performance, the E-Type has continued to captivate auto enthusiasts and collectors across the globe. As one of the most sought-after automobiles ever produced, original purchasers of the model were met with fierce demand of such a new and revolutionary automobile, making these first generation E-Types the most desirable of all XKE iterations produced.

Today, the same seductive vehicle that captured the world’s attention as it did back in 1961 is now available and ready to be experienced by a new era of Jaguar faithful.

The Motorcar Offered:

This iconic Series 1.5 Jaguar XKE has benefitted from a recent restoration. $75k was spent on its refurbishment. The car features its original 4.2 L, 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission, both of which operate in suburb fashion. The body is straight and the black metallic paint is deep and beautiful.  The underside and floors look great. The tan leather interior has fresh materials throughout and complements the fully operational set of instruments. The spoked wheels are bright, crisp and super reflective. They are wrapped in fresh, radial tires that look great and provide a smooth comfortable ride. The spare wheel, jack and related tools are nestled in the rust free spare tire well. The tan canvass top is in new condition and works easily but the boot is absent.

This car has been in the care and custody of one man for the past 48 years. During that time, he cherished his XKE and maintained and serviced the car as needed. He commissioned the restoration that was completed in 2016. That refurbishment freshened its appearance with paint, chrome, interior and changed its color from red to metallic black. These increasingly desirable Series 1.5 Jaguar XKEs continue to grow in value and collectability.

If you’re searching for a great looking, well sorted XKE to enjoy, drive and show, this should be your next car.
