1967 Jaguar XKE Coupe, Series 1

The series 1 XKE Jaguar is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cars of all time. The flowing lines and exceptional proportions give it a fantastic aesthetic. They exhibit excellent performance and handling derived from their D- Type racing heritage. The Series 1 cars, which are by far the most valuable, essentially fall into two categories: Those made between 1961 and 1964, which had 3.8 litre engines and non-synchromesh transmissions, and those made between 1965-1967, which increased engine size and torque by around 10%, added a fully synchronised transmission, and also provided new reclining seats.  “The 4.2 became the most desirable version of the famous E-Type due to their increased power and usability while retaining the same outward appearance as the […]

The 6 cylinder engine appears completely stock and turns over easily. We have made no attempt to get it running. We will leave that enjoyment to the new owner. 1949 MGTC Roadster

This is a Fabulous Example of an extremely rare MGTC (EXU). ABOUT THE EXU MODEL Feedback from the important American market led MG to develop this special model for sale to the U.S. Beginning with car number 7380 in December 1948 and produced “as needed” throughout 1949 only 494 were produced — less than 5% of all MG TC production. Such cars were recognized under the coding “EXU” (for export unit) and stamped “EXU” on the chassis number on the guarantee plate. In addition, they included the following improvements: –  Full-width bumpers, front and rear (allegedly for the way “women parked in the United States!”). –  Central MG medallion on rear bumper (some suggest one of the rarest items of any MG, since the medallion […]

1967 Chevrolet Corvette L89 Coupe

In 1967 Chevrolet built a street monster with its 427ci Corvette. The most powerful of which was the Tri Power equipped 435hp version. These were legendary on the street for their raw power and performance. Chevrolet took it even further by producing 16 very special cars that had this engine configuration plus the weight advantage of aluminum cylinder heads. Those were identified as the L89. The fantastic example offered here has the ominous L89 engine and presents as a proper and beautiful example. We have extensive photographs of the concours quality restoration that was completed in 2006. Since this car is without factory documentation, there is no definitive way to prove its originality. Even though the numbers match and the castings are correct, we can […]
